Weekend Pistol Permit Classes

To reserve your seat in one of our upcoming classes, we require a $50.00 Non-Refundable Deposit. The remaining balance is due on the day of your class.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

To ensure fairness and effective scheduling for all students, the following policy applies to all pistol permit classes:

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your seat in the class.

Rescheduling

  • Students are allowed one reschedule no additional cost, provided we receive at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled class time.

  • Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class will result in forfeiture of the deposit and will require a new deposit to book another class.

  • Any additional reschedule requests beyond the first will also require a new deposit.

How much is a class?

The cost for the class is $150 per person for 1 state. Each additional state (Ex. MA or UT) is an additional $55. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required when signing up.

What is the process for applying for the CT permit?

After the class, you have to apply with your local authorities. We will cover in detail on the process in the class.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up for a class right on our website alphapistol.com. You can choose a weekend class or a weeknight class. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required when signing up.

Can I bring my own firearm?

NO. We supply everything needed for the class and the live fire portions.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, we do offer e-gift cards. The e-gift cards are only redeemable for pistol permit classes. E-gift cards can be purchased here.

Do you offer group classes?

Yes. private and group class options are available upon request.

What if I have no experience with firearms

This class is designed for beginners. You do not need to have any experience at all.

How old do I need to be to apply for the CT pistol permit?

You must be at least 21 years old to apply for a CT pistol permit.

What if I already had my permit in the past, do I still have to do the live fire?

Yes! Whether your permit expired or even if you are military or police, you still need to take the full course including the live fire portion to get your completion certificate.

How long is the class?

The class is 8 hours. If you choose a weekend class, it is completed in 1 day. If you choose a weeknight class then it is split between 2 nights. You must attend both nights to get your completion certificate.

What should I bring with me to the class?

We supply everything that is needed for the day, Including:

Eye & ear protection

Targets & ammo

Coffee, water and snacks
